First-Ever Arts & Crafts Spectacular

Since learning how to crochet a few years ago I've managed to surround myself with a whole bunch of awesome crafty people. Isn't it cool how the universe tends to bring to you people that are so similar to you?

Next weekend a friend of mine is hosting her first-ever arts & crafts spectacular. It sounds like it's going to be a really fun afternoon of crocheting, crafting and yarn swapping. (TWIST MY ARM)

I'm pretty attached to my yarn, but I'm sure I have something I'd be happy to unload. Which reminds me...I have GOT to figure out a better way to organize my yarn and projects. I sorta have all my yarn stuffed into various plastic bags in a closet (I'm so fancy), so I'd like to go all Martha Stewart and do something to make my yarn stash looks less...um...cluttered.

In the meantime, I've been working on this baby blanket for my shop. It's super easy and going pretty fast. After working on so many bears, I needed to take a mini break and crochet something that didn't take so much brain power. And that's my cat Doc. :)

The start of something good

Hi! I'm Christy! This is my blog. Welcome.

This little cutie pie is going to be a bear once I'm finished with her! And the completion of her will mark a very important event for me...the very first piece of inventory that I'll have for my Etsy chrochet shop. I can't wait to open up the shop. So much to do! Not enough time!

She's made with Caron Simply Soft yarn (my personal favorite).

I'll have many more updates on my creations as I go along. Next up! Another bear! Then I'm going to create some baby blankets and other cute baby items.
